I have a bad back and want recommendations. Thanks

Mine is a Victorian dining chair with arms. Not sure that's the sort of thing you're looking for, but it suits me. Arms on chairs are good though. If your back is bad you can use your hands to help you get up.

I use a normal dining chair with cushions. It is the most comfortable for my back.

I got rid of my office chair at work too and use a meeting room chair, again with cushions.

I think my problems are caused by using a dining room chair with cushions....

My work provides staff with a choice. I have a dark grey tweed, adjustable, good quality office chair.

I have an Aeron. It’s bliss.

I use a dx racer king, I love it, feels really supportive.

I have a proper office chair in my home office - swivel, height adjustable, with arms. (But feet rather than castors as those don't work well on carpet and ruin it). I also have a proper footrest, plus a stool under my desk so I can put my feet up.

I'm not sure, but getting the heights of screens, desk and chair properly adjusted - with footrest if necessary- is probably quite important to encourage appropriate posture.
