Drama series to watch with teenage DDs?

Hi, DH and I have got really into watching Killing Eve and the Body guard and our 14 yo DD has watched the odd episode with us. Can anyone suggest any other exciting series that we might enjoy together? We have Netflix and Sky but not sure which package. The two dramas I just mentioned were about at my absolute limit of sex and violence for family viewing! I have a 16 yo DD as well but she is less likely to watch with us. Any ideas? TIA

Stranger Things?

Thegirl, i just googled that...I can’t watch anything supernatural. It really freaks me out!

I’ve been watching Black Earth Rising which is fantastic. A little adult but nothing beyond a 14 year old, I’d really recommend it

I really enjoyed Bletchley Circle on Netflix.

It's about a group of women who worked as code breakers in WWII struggling to go back to just being 'ordinary'.
They end up seeing a pattern on a spate of killings and try to solve them when the police don't take them seriously.

Anyone who enjoys Killing Eve and The Bodyguard would enjoy Line Of Duty.

Safe, on Netflix is good, has teenagers in it too.
I binged it in a day.

Buffy?
Timeless?
Warehouse 13?
These are things my dd has enjoyed but she's a bit younger

It's not a drama, but my 14 yo DD loves to watch Taskmaster with us - there's the odd bit of swearing but if you can overlook that it's a blast!

loganberry1 · 10/10/2018 17:14

And another bite for Buffy!

loganberry1 · 10/10/2018 17:15

Ha ha - meant to say vote for buffy not bite!!!

Ooh black earth and Bletchley Park sound good. Sadly, DH has watched line of duty without me. Maybe I could watch it while ironing and pretending to be a good (temporary) SAHM!!

Press is great. (BBC) There's a bit of sex in one of the episodes, ep 4 or 5, I think. Last ep will be on this week, but it's on iPlayer.

Black Earth Rising. (BBC)

Vanity Fair (ITV).

Stranger Things. Just binged watched Seasons 1&2 with DDs..they were rewatching as liked it so much. Brilliant.

I don't like anything that errs too much towards supernatural/demonic OP, but Stranger Things is fine. Fantasy Genre

What about Spooks? Episode 2 of series 1 may be a bit much wrt violence, but on the whole they should be ok (and if she's seen Killing Eve she should be fine).
