I have the dreaded virus going around. The sore throat that feels like I am swallowing glass, the bad cold and body aches.

I am feeling very sorry for myself. Anyone else with me?

I'm not ill, but I am at the end of a recovery period for appendicitis, surgery then a bout of illness where the hospital was concerned about sepsis (It wasn't, but I felt dire). It's been a shitty fortnight, I'm at the end of my signed off from work period, I'm knackered, I've lost 8lbs in 2 weeks and I am mega ratty with the DC.

Me too! I've had some kind of virus, on day 3 now and just contending with all the aches and pains... Can't even get back to sleep because my hips are too sore Sad think I'll be back to work tomorrow though.

Sorry PPs....I'm here to tell you that I'm 3 weeks into this bloody bug and its lingering...its not actually DOING anything...just making me feel like general crap. I've stopped snotting everywhere, but the coughing, and the aches and pains are clinging on like a fly on shit. Either give it all to me in one hit, and let me start feeling better, or just bugger off. Just stop LINGERING. ...Grin

Oh FFS Why that's not what I wanted to hear. I have finally (after 10 days of it) given in and not gone to work, hoping that a day or so off will make it bugger off. It seems to be firmly stuck in both my sinuses and cheat and I've had enough now Angry

Three fucking weeks??

My son had it and on day three he is almost fully better, so I'm hoping I will be the same. I fell asleep on the sofa cuddling my dog which was lovely.

My body aches are getting worse. I am useless at being ill.
