Why did a random ad appear???

Casually reading through MN and a random ad pops up that I couldn't pause or exit?!!

Since when does that happen?

As a rule I disable pop ups on all sites... Try that

Was it desktop or phone? Pop ups don’t really exist as such these days so sounds like it might just be an ad that got served incorrectly
