I've been dying my hair with semi-permanent colours for years and never had a reaction other than to a patch test for a permanent colour in a salon years ago.
I bought a different brand recently (also semi permanent) so I did a patch test the other day and it showed nothing although I'm now wondering if I did it big enough.
I just put the dye on my hair and immediately my forehead and ears went bright red even though there was no dye on them. I washed it out and took anti-histamines and the redness has gone down but my head feels a bit warm.
If you've had a reaction was it like this?
I'm wondering if I need medical advice or does it sound like I could just keep an eye on it for now?
If I see swelling or if my breathing seems affected I'll definitely get medical advice without hesitation.
