Mirena - has it HELPED anyone's acne?

Had Mirena coil for a month now. My skin, by my usual acne-ridden standards, is amazing. Like, 2 small spots when I'd usually have about 15. Just want to see if anyone else had experienced this as I've only ever heard of it causing acne. I really hope this is a thing, because it might mean I've finally found a treatment that works for me....

Not quite as dramatic but I used to suffer with horrible big spots on my chin fairly regularly for years, after a couple of years with the Mirena I realised they'd gone. I get the odd, much smaller one occasionally now but the big red ones have never come back.

My skin was lovely when I used Mirena. That was the only lovely thing though.

My skin was amazing on the progesterone only pill.

The fact that I was suicidal on it was the side effect I found intolerable!

When I had my first Mirena, between ds1 and ds2, it was fantastic- good skin and no horrid side effects. (When I had my second and third Mirenas things were very different...) Long may your clear skin last!

I had opposite, never had spots and ended up with acne

Same. Didn’t really suffer then had horrific cystic acne all over my back and couldn’t get rid of it for about 2 years even after I had coil removed!
