Anyone else have this issue with make up?

It's starting to really irritate me now.

It's been this way since I hit about 8/9 years of age. Before then, i would randomly look incredibly ill with an all over tan and a gloomy, pale face!

I'm a grown woman and it's still there. Basically, my face is about 10 shades lighter than the rest of me.

No idea why. Foundation never looks as fabulous and flawless as I'd like because it doesn't match my skin Sad It always has to match my neck and the rest of me to boot.

Anyone else have this issue?

I'm not really sure what the answer is.

I don't wear make up...
Which is not the answer because I'd really like to. But it looks awful on me.

I think you have to use different shades and carefully blend so there’s a gradual change, but I’m not an expert.

Match your foundation to the skin on your face. Then when you've got your base sorted dust bronzer across your cheekbones, forehead, chin and nose in the pattern the sun would hit.

Match foundation to your neck, my face is also a different colour so feel your pain, I'm also an MUA and this is how I choose the foundation to use for them. Makes it look more flawless.

Them being clients. Arghh I haven't had coffee yet

What about a tinted moisturiser that adapts to your natural skin colour? Estee Lauder do a lovely one, Daywear I think, as do the French brand Guinot that some salons use. EL is a lovely one though and more accessible, has an SPF too I think. I'm sure other brands would do them too if you shop around re your budget x

I have this. I'm a lovely tanned shade all over but have the face of a corpse. I put make up on but it doesn't last long until I'm pale and sickly again. Very annoying.

Have you tried a daily use face tan? I use one and it makes a massive difference.

eyebrowsthenet · 09/10/2018 09:53

@wheresmyhairytoe have you tried Urban Decay setting spray? Keeps my foundation on even through 30-degree-heat festivals. Smells a bit funky but I use it on everyone. Also investing in a good foundation for your skin type is key. Hope that helps

Thanks eyebrows will loo at that.
