Baby music classes

I've been thinking of taking my newborn to baby music classes but is it just singing and jiggling about (I sing to her a lot anyway)?
Money is tight but I'd like to give her some social experiences (and meet other parents too). Just wondering if it's worth it, really?

Newborn, no point ime. Go to a church group, where the ladies dispense tea and cake with a twinkly eye and the babies lie under slightly worn play gyms and the toddlers play on the cube slide.

Once baby is sitting you can try a music group.
