Can I watch Amazon video on my tv?

I have Amazon prime and we get Amazon video with lots to watch. My tv isn't brand new so doesn't have some of the modern ports at the back. I have a google chrome cast that lets me watch Netflix etc connected to the tv. Is there anyway to watch Amazon video without a fire stick (which is about £80!)

Am amazon fire stick isn’t anywhere near £80. They cost £40 from amazon or you can pick up a refurbished one on eBay for more than half that. All you need is a USB port on your TV. I’d be surprised if yours doesn’t have one - my TV is 10 years old and does.

Yep, a fire stick is £39.99 on Amazon right now and will probably be less in the upcoming Black Friday sales.

I also like my firestick for watching Netflix and Iplayer etc, which might be a consideration for you.

You can just beam it through your chromecast same as you do Netflix

You can use the Chromecast. Do you have a games console? You can download the Amazon app and watch via that.

I've just bought a firestick because i can't get it through the chrome cast.

We watch it through the Xbox if you have one of those.

I have to cast my devices screen to watch prime video through my chromecast but it is entirely possible

Its the same as Netflix, I think you have to stream it on another device then ‘cast’ up to the tv.

From my mobile I go to the google home app and cast it from there. Then I can go to Amazon video and watch a show. I've attached a couple of images just incase you need them.

I am still not sure how to do it, even with the pics!!

My app doesn't have the cast screen/audio option!

We can't watch amazon through our chromecast at all. We are lucky as use a bt box so it's one of the players on there.

I don't think it works directly through a Chromecast, but if you have a tablet or laptop you can open Amazon in the Chrome browser and then mirror it.

Or buy a Firestick or Roku - the Roku are the cheaper option.
