I've had a really shit day

My partner has gone away with work for a week.

My car brakes failed this morning which has resulted in a £500 car bill.

I've been prescribed anti depressants by the doctor which is actually long overdue (I've been denying them for too long).

Looks like my daughter has impetigo so I won't be able to go to work this week or the job interview I had lined up for Wednesday.

I dropped a jar of jam of the kitchen floor, and I lost the kids tea (packet of fish fingers) between the supermarket and my front door.

I cannot wait for bed time.

Rant over. Wine time.

Excellent plan. Not long to go now...

GlitterBurps · 08/10/2018 18:46

Poor you OP, I have had a shit last few hours. 4year old DS1 being a terror. Refused to get in swimming pool for his lesson, wreaked havoc at my mums and then peed on the floor. Pushing his little brother over. Hid my handbag. DH is late home. I’m planning on going for a walk to buy wine when he gets back. Enjoy your wine!

Cantbearsed73 · 08/10/2018 18:49

I’ve had a rubbish day too. All day in A&E and have to go back next week for a biopsy. I know it’s monday but Gin and tonic for me later.
Enjoy Killing Eve it’s fab !

DaphneFanshaw · 08/10/2018 18:52

Wine what a shit shit shit day.
Thanks

hidinginthenightgarden · 08/10/2018 18:58

Mine has been rubbish too- though not as bad as yours. I believed DS when he said he was ill because I am unwell so concluded we could have the same illness. By ten am he was fine whilst I just wanted to go to bed. He has behaved badly because he is bored but when we went out I just wanted to go home! At lunch time had a call to say DD was screaming saying her ear hurt so had to go and collect her. Had the afternoon with both of them, had to go to the doctors and then the supermarket with them playing up whilst DH went to the gym after work.

He has just walked in and I am going to bed!

blueangel1 · 08/10/2018 19:03

Wow. that is a shit day. Isn't there any way you could do the job interview? Sanitise your hands before you go in so that you can shake hands with people?

chickenchip · 08/10/2018 19:04

Oh I hear ya Winethat sounds horrific

I've just walked out the house as my DP walked in. Got in the shower with a wasp this morning. Had a crappy day with my 15 week triplets who have tag teamed screaming all day. Lugged everyone to the shops to buy the ingredients for a chilli then burnt the lot. The pan is sat in the garden now Angry I'm just exhausted and fed up.

I'm having dinner in the pub on my own and contemplating on if I should go home or book a hotel. I'll probably go home.

mangowango · 08/10/2018 19:54

Wow @chickenchip 15 week old TRIPLETS!! I'm bottling up my wine and sending it to you pronto.

@blueangel1 the problem is I have no one to watch her for me. Other than sneaking her in under my shirt I'm stuck for ideas. She would normally be at nursery but unless it clears up in 48 hours I'll have to try and rearrange.

Everyone else, thank you for sharing your bad days or giving me sympathy. All in it together.

@mangowango Bugger Sad

Stephisaur · 08/10/2018 22:17

@mangowango hopefully they’ll be able to reschedule your interview?

If you happen to be the woman we’re interviewing for an accounts role on Wednesday then I’ll put in a good word ;)

Hope your daughter gets well soon and your week improves x

chickenchip · 09/10/2018 08:18

Hi 👋🏻 OP thanks for the vino WineI went home after an hour and a half as I missed them Smile

Here's to a great day today x

mangowango · 09/10/2018 12:51

Thanks all. Nursery have taken my girl today as the doc didn't think it was impetigo after all. So I'm back on for the interview tomorrow woo hoo!!

I also got a 7am lie in this morning thank you to my usual early risers.

Add a pack of chocolate hob nobs to the list and today is a great day in comparison.

(Even if i am £500 down)

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 09/10/2018 12:57

Mmmm, hobnobs. Yesterday was pretty crap, but rather crapper for the poor sods in the RTCs that delayed me. Then I had one of my own, when a clown got too close and smashed one of my mirrors. Cue a two hour wait to piss into a jar upon my return to the yard. The paperwork is still ongoing, as my company is a vast bureaucratic octopus.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 09/10/2018 13:15

Glad it wasn't Impetigo, Mango, that's a relief.

There are always more fishfingers, put them next to your hob nobs as you won't lose those.

Hoping that today is very much better for you.

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 09/10/2018 13:29

So glad today is going better for you mango, and what a relief that it's not impetigo. Good luck with your interview tomorrow Star

BubblesBubblesBubbles · 09/10/2018 13:37

My sister died - do I win the most shitist day?

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 09/10/2018 13:42

I'm so sorry Bubbles Flowers that truly is shit.
