Has anyone's primary school aged child done this? Is it worth it?
DD, who is 7, came home with a letter about it today, and I need to decide and return the letter by tomorrow. It claims to be about developing "confidence, resilience and inner strength" but the letter and website don't really say how they do that. That is also partly what I send her to brownies for at considerably less expense. The letter says places are limited so I am also wondering what the children who aren't taking part will do, as it is during the school day rather than an after-school club. I don't want her to be upset that everyone else is doing fun stuff if I don't sign her up. It costs £65 a term, presumably for all 3 terms, though the letter doesn't make that clear, which is quite a lot of money really. I can't ask the school these questions as they need numbers and money tomorrow.
