Canesten not worked - what next?

Took antibiotics last week and got thrush (predictably). I’ve now taken the chalky pessary, the oral canesten and now the gel pessary. Have had relief on and off but it’s still there.

What do I do next?

I’ve now finished the antibiotics and am eating natural yogurt to build up the healthy gut again. Will it go away on its own accord now I’m not taking them?

Or should I see a doctor for something stronger?

Why not myrrh?

Tea tree oil is not a cure all, its toxic if taken internally and that means you don't use it on mucus membranes either.
Myrrh is safe to use in toothpaste and mouthwash but only at certain dilutions.

Before you go using any home remedies (or dishing out advice online) see a certified herbalist. Many plants have active properties and some are toxic.

Went back to GP and we decided to try the generic canesten - Clotrimazole - it has worked for me

I had the canesten cream and pessary in the past and reacted to them but the generic has made the difference

Ive had problems with other meds when brands have been changed so this is now another of them

You need Flucanazole, sold OTC in a pharmacy, also sold in a canesten duo pack with cream

Nothing beats a slathering of cold yoghurt on your fanny when you've got bad thrush.

Natural yoghurt on and up Repeat as often as you can. You may need to go to Primark and buy some cheap cotton knickers - boil wash them between wears and then throw them away when you are clear
