Ew, I have pantry moths

It's revolting and pretty bad.

I've cleaned out the effected cupboard and killed lots but reading online it needs to be vacuumed and bleached and everything binned too. Is this really true?

Any top tips for getting rid of them? I've purchased pheromone traps

I had these, I found that somehow they were getting into the spice jars and setting up camp. I had to throw everything but tins away and clean thoroughly, but it worked.

We've had these recently. I think it was a box of Rice Krispies that was the main culprit. We got rid of everything that they could have got into and put all new stuff in tubs and jars (cereal, flour, pasta etc). They're bastards to get rid of, we cleaned all the cupboards and bought sticky traps from Amazon. They also don't like vinegar so we bought a vinegar spray and use that when we clean.

They are bastards to get rid of but you just need to keep checking and throwing out anything that's affected.

I had these early in the summer Sad.

I threw everything away and sprayed and wiped all surfaces in the pantry with white vinegar.

When I bought new flour, spices, etc., I kept them in the freezer for two days before putting them in the newly disinfected pantry.

Have seen none since then.

Definitely don't spray vinegar on your panty moths Wink

We had them once - came home and there were suddenly loads of them crawling all over the kitchen ceiling. And it was a Victorian flat with really really high ceilings and neither DH nor i are tall!

Turned out the bastards came in a box of organic seeds 🤮

We had to chuck everything in that cupboard, leave it empty for a few days and scrub it a few times. That did the trick.

I found one in my fridge last week. It was just chilling.
