Clarks vs Startrite sizing

Can someone remind me please what the difference is. Startite being larger or smaller than Clarks and by how much ... as a rule of thumb.

If i remember correctly a 5 at startrite is a 5½ at Clarks but it's an awful long time since i was there

Startrite are about half a size bigger ime.

I think startrite are about 1/2 size bigger. I've also been told they're wider.

We've always found start rite smaller with no growing room.

It’s sooo long since I’ve bought Startrite that I really can’t remember and no chance of getting dc fitted as no stockists locally.

I've always found start rite come bigger and that is always the advice the shop gives me. (Sells different brands)
