The Giants in Liverpool

Did anyone in here go? It was an absolute spectacular and the people of Liverpool came out in their millions to see them.
The city was buzzing. The Giants themselves evoke a curiously emotional response too. Just look at the crowds!

Saw them Friday and today. Stood for 2 hours today for he best view.

Fantastic day. I love the subtle choreographed movements and seeing all the operators.

Loved it! Just amazing. The best free show ever and, yes, curiously emotional.

It's great for the city, isn't it? We travelled from the Midlands and stayed a couple of nights. Sadly we didn't see the finale as we headed back home around midday but so, so worth it. I would have loved to have seen the girl giant this afternoon.

Despise crowds.
Local and vital services are getting cut LR and C. Yet they find a magic money tree for this.

I did the last time they visited and found myself crying for NO REASON when the grandma giant walked past me. It really took me by surprise.

We didn't go this time despite being very local, as DS2 can't tolerate crowds or being in the pram (suspected autism) and I just didn't have the energy to try for what would have been thirty seconds of enjoyment for DS2.

I'm loving all the photos and videos though.

There were 1.25 million extra visitors just yesterday. Every street was packed, every hotel, bar, restaurant and car park full. Plus huge and priceless feelgood factor.
Well worth the investment!
