I'm looking at buying a samsonite hand luggage bag as a gift and I see they are much cheaper on Amazon. Reading the reviews on Amazon I'm concerned about the quality. Could these poor quality be fake and that's why they are so much cheaper?

If the price is too good to be true, it probably is.

I don't buy anything 'important' from Amazon - it's not always clear who is fulfilling the order and I think there are a lot of cheap, fake electricians on there. I wouldn't take the risk.

If a legitimate Samsonite bag/ case is too £££ perhaps look at an alternate gift??

If you are near Ashford there is a Samsonite outlet shop at McArthur Glen & there are £££ off most cases. Don't know if there are Samsonite shops at other McArthur glen shopping malls.
