A typical gold bar weighs 12.4kg and is approx 25cmx7cmx3.5cm (so 612.5 cubic cm). According to London good delivery rules.

140 tons is equivalent to approx 10242 bars so has a volume of 6273481 cubic cm or 6.27 cubic metres (approx size of a large skip).

My calculations probably need checking though...

A cubic cm of gold weighs 19.32g so a cubic metres would weigh 19.32 tonnes. So 140 tonnes would be about 7.25 cubic metres I think.

Have you tried just typing it into google?

It’s really good at answering all sorts of questions like that!

Unless you mean a British ton which would be slightly more or a US ton which would be about 6.57 cubic metres. (I'm bored)!
