I had my upper seven removed 12 days ago (cracked clean through to the root) and the lower seven is now unopposed. I will probably get an implant in due course, but just how quickly can an unopposed tooth overerupt? I already have a lower premolar that's grown into the space left by a removed upper premolar (orthodontic treatment removal) and don't ideally want it to happen again. I keep forgetting to put my night guard in, which the dentist thought would stop it from going anywhere, and I will get on top of that, but thought I'd ask if I need to be panicking already!
