What are you doing today?

My sister is coming over this afternoon because she needs some sister love. No idea what’s happened but we might go out and do ‘something’. It’s raining and I don’t know what to do!
The older dc are out with friends, dp and ds are here.
I am just getting my shit together to pop
To the gym.
Any ideas what I could do? I have a car, money, we aren’t near the beach, can’t be too late as am picking dc up later on but have maybe 3-4 hours. What can we fill the time with?!

Afternoon tea in a nice hotel?

Oh I second afternoon tea or a swish hotel for a posh lunch.

I'm currently sitting in the hell fire that is a swimming pool side, watching Dc2 have his lesson.
Dc1 is at his friend's house for the day. Dh is at home with dc3. I don't think we will do much today, weather is naf, so jobs at home and relaxing.
Later cooking Indian for tea and then movie night. There will definitely be wine, though not much as dc3 is breastfed and still feeds two hrly.

I'm currently at twin lakes with DS2. Mummy and son time.

Still wallpapering. I need to take shares out in b&q

I took ds1 to a cross country competition. He won 😁

Dh has taken dd and ds2 to dd's footy tournament.

I'm having my hair cut later. Currently warming up under blankets with ds1.

I have no idea what afternoon tea involves - but do it!

I am still scanning archive materials and will be for weeks to come.
And I plan to bake an apple walnut raisin cake.

DH has to meet a deadline.
DD is under orders to take a rest and not learn.
DS is doing sth minecrafty again.
Dcat is asleep in a box.

Afternoon tea sounds heavenly.

Im supposed to be finishing an essay, it's tediously boring! But i am near my deadline.......Instead, as the sun is splitting the trees in Scotland myself, DS4 and DD17 are going for a long walk along the river and through the woods.

Hurrah, we did in fact go for an afternoon tea, thanks for the suggestion! I called a hotel nearby and booked a cab, we had a champagne afternoon tea plus some cocktails, then I made the taxi stop at a garage for coal stuff. We are now in front of the fire with drinks and snacks for the evening.

Agree, weather is truly miserable but sister is feeling much cheerier now!

Methe, have you discovered all the plates/cups/Tupperware/bowls you thought had been broken?!

Arghhh drinks, we get someone in to do wallpapering - neither dp nor I have the patience. Actually, I haven’t tried but we only have a small amount of papering in the house and it seems like a lot of faffing about
