Help! New iPod syncing?

Posting in chat for traffic...

We have bought DD a refurbished iPod Touch for her birthday. She currently has a playlist of her own on my iPhone, a couple of apps and some TV shows and films.

We have DH's iTunes and my iTunes on two profiles on our very old laptop. It's always nerve wracking hoping it will work! And all her stuff she knows is on my iPhone.

What's the best way to get these onto her new device? Would rather not have her own acc (and not sure it's poss to set up 3rd profile on laptop). And there's a fair bit of money's worth on mine that I'd rather not have to re-purchase.

DH not keen to get Apple Music as we just wouldn't use it so family sharing is out.

Thanks all - sorry for sounding out of date!

Go into iTunes on the laptop and do a sync to get her music onto it, then set up her iPod in your account and download the chosen tracks onto the pod.

Thanks @citiesofbismuth - can I have her device on my account like I have my iPad and iPhone? And can I sync only her stuff and not mine?

I think you'll be able to include hers, yes. You can also set up family sharing as well.

I've added it as a device on my iTunes and it's all fine except my entire song library is showing in her my music. It isn't taking up any memory and the only playlist is hers but the library is all my stuff too. Could be worse I suppose...
