Coat or a tablet? Which would you choose?

Last night, I picked up my tablet to go to bed, like I've done thousands of times before. Except this time there was a crack and the screen shattered out from the corner Confused

My winter coat needs replacing, zip has broken (still wearable, but a bit of a faff to get into) and the cuffs are starting to wear through.

I've enough money to replace one...

you're avoiding the budget questions.....

If you don't have a budget for both then put a glass protector on it and you can still use it until you can afford to get it fixed.

Coats you can get a decent one from Primark or Tesco or even Ebay.

Yes, wonder why @00100001? Hmm

Get the coat of course.

Many people don’t have tablets (including me), but if you live in the UK you really need a coat going into the winter.

It depends on your budget OP really, and a few other things - do you 'need' an iPad specifically or will a cheaper tablet do? I used to have an iPad and prefer my android tablet, which was cheaper.
How much do you use the iPad and for what- do you work from it?
Everyone's circumstances are different, for example I'm chronically ill and housebound so would go with the tablet as mine's how I entertain myself in the day. I don't always leave the house much when things are bad so whilst a 'good coat is important I'd be grateful for it when I had to go out and would prefer to not get soaked when I did I -wouldn't use it much!

I'm a twat so I would fix the tablet Blush

This isn't a begging thread is it? Hopefully OP is just busy and that's why she's not been back.

Do screens just spontaneously crack? I didn't know that was possible. Is there anyone in the house who could have dropped it? It may then be covered by insurance.

buscaution · 06/10/2018 13:59

I thinknOP meant when she dropped it there was a 'crack' sound, and the screen shattered

Get an Amazon fire tablet and a charity shop coat. Job done!
