I'm sorry, but this has been driving me mad for years! So begging for your help Blush

I think I watched this at night, probably on bbc2 or channel4... it was certainly back in the days of 4 or 5 channels. (Yes, am old Grin )

Unfortunately remember very little... there was a scene with a man 'singing' an 80s/90s type new romantics type song. In a field. With sheep.

It was definitely a weird humour type film. From what I recall, like an 80s/early 90s mamma mia, so quite a soundtrack.

There were some romantic type misentanglements, possibly a treehouse (??) meeting, and a final scene where bride is about to marry the wrong man, when the 'hero' enters the church and breaks into song. Again. The sheep may have been there too.

Now either it's the weirdest, most detailed (and sheep involved) dream I've ever had, or it does exist somewhere other than my imagination.

Please wise MNers, help me! (or co-sign my admittal papers)!

was it a British film do you remember? Big stars or an Indy film?

BuffysFavouriteStake · 06/10/2018 12:27

Pretty sure it was British. Not sure if big stars or not tho. Would guess not, as it seemed to be a sort of made for TV movie, if you see what I mean.

Sorry, know I'm not being very helpful here!

A musical of "Far From The Madding Crowd"?

ManicUnicorn · 06/10/2018 12:50

There was a TV series a few years ago that was set in an 80's themed hotel. Think it was called Club Tropicana? This was on ITV I think.

The Wedding Singer?? Made in the 90's but featuring 80's songs??

DancingDot · 06/10/2018 12:59

Not british.....sorry..

Sadly none of these, but thanks so much for trying. It would have been about 20 years ago I saw it, so definitely an oldie. Argh!!
