Missed Fedex delivery x2 but didn't order anything?

Apparently they tried to deliver twice but I didn't order anything - doesn't seem to be an option to go collect it a number to ring! Is this a weird scam?

Can you find a general number for fedex online and call them?

shakeyourcaboose · 05/10/2018 07:18

Google the number, there is a scam of this where you end up getting charged a fortune for the call,!

GlitteryFluff · 05/10/2018 07:19

Is this an email?
If so I get loads, all scam. So I would ignore.
Especially if you're not expecting anything.
The number will cost you a fortune.

Prestonsflowers · 05/10/2018 07:19

I’ve been emailed a few times with missed delivery details and I haven’t ordered anything.
I’ve always assumed it’s some kind of scam and ignored the emails

PlatypusPie · 05/10/2018 07:20

There is indeed a scam involving fake missed delivery cards, involving the number on the card being a premium number ie it costs a fortune to call. What does it begin with ?

Stephisaur · 05/10/2018 07:23

We use fedex at work. Their customer services phone number is 0345 600 0068 - if this isn’t the number on your card, do not call it!

WTFIsAGleepglorp · 05/10/2018 07:24

If it starts 09, don't call it.

Daisymay2 · 05/10/2018 07:24

I get loads of these. Google puts them into Spam. As pp have said, there is a premium rate scam with FedEx.
There is another one with cards through the door as well. It was in the village newsletter. Will post when I get up.🙄

PlatypusPie · 05/10/2018 07:28

www.gov.uk/call-charges

The more benign looking 070 can be a high charge as well

ASauvignonADay · 05/10/2018 07:31

Two slips through front door - no contact number in the slip at all!

A bit strange, as if it's real I don't know how I'm meant to get it! I want to take a photo of the slip but it's got my details all over it

Could it be a prize? I've had some turned up that I didn't know I'd won

What does it say you need to do to receive your parcel?

RebelRogue · 05/10/2018 07:34

There is scam going with the number being a premium number. First hint,no we missed you card. Second hint there should always be a website where you can rearrange redelivery or a pick up point.
If even unsure, hoover over the official looking email address or click on it and normally it will look fairly bogus even if the name looks legit.

For example it might say FedEx in the name ,but email address actually is [email protected].

PlatypusPie · 05/10/2018 07:37

Is there any kind of reference / tracking number on it that you could give the genuine FedEx customer services ?

Member · 05/10/2018 07:37

We got an unexpected delivery from FedEx yesterday, it was documentation from dh’s American-owned company (share certificate).

I’d phone the customer services number a pp posted.

pasturesgreen · 05/10/2018 08:30

Any chance it could be a surprise present? Happened to me a couple of times from friends and family overseas. I'd give CS a call just in case.

aquietlifeplease · 05/10/2018 08:41

I was just coming on to say could it be a prize. I had this happen and when it did eventually arrive it was a large household appliance that I had won. Obviously be careful about ringing any numbers.
