Anyone renewed passports recently?

If so how long if you did it online?

We've booked to go away three weeks on Saturday and both mine and DD's passports need renewing.

The normal service advises it can take three weeks to get them back. It's double the price to fast-track them, and I could really do without spending that kind of money.

Trying to decide whether to suck it up and pay for peace of mind or prepare for a bum clenching couple of weeks?

Two week turn around for my son who needed an adult passport. Not bad I think :)

Less than a week, maybe 5 days. It was very quick, as were the 3 x kids passports that needed renewing (bad timing!)

My husband renewed his Irish passport from the UK on a Saturday and the passport arrived, from Ireland, on the Tuesday. Now that was quick!

DH did his online a couple of weeks ago and it was back within the week.

Husband and I did the online route in February - took just over a week and they sent texts to say that they had processed them and when they posted them out. I was quite impressed.
