Ring doorbell

Does anyone have one of these?
There’s been a huge spate of cars being broken into in our village.
Our bedroom is on the back of the house so we don’t hear a peep which I hate. Used to be on the front in our old house and slept with our windows open to hear noises etc.
I like that it’s a doorbell and cctv. Can anyone give me a review please before I buy?
Thanks.

Unless you've got really good Wi-fi coverage they don't work that well.

Also I think they only chime via your phone so if your phone isn't in ear shot you may not hear it.

I know people who have them who really rate them though. My friend installs cctv and security stuff for a living and he has one. That's a good endorsement!

Yes I love mine but it’s not clear if you want to catch someone far away, it’s more for people coming to your door or in your garden. It will ring your phone (if you want it to) every time it detects someone nearby but I don’t have that on otherwise I’d have to watch all the pedestrians walk by. Good cctv might be the better option for you.

Hhhmmm will have a think.
Our door practically opens onto the path so I think it would detect people walking past. But worried it would record 300 people a day!

Ok so little update.
Husband got it and fitted it this evening.
Had to do a bit of fiddling around as at one point it was detecting no motion at all, and then it detected every single car so going off every minute!
Have messed about with settings and seems to be perfect.
Just picks up people walking past our door. There’s no time lag/delay that other reviews have moaned about. The doorbell is pressed and within a second we get a notification on our phones/iPad.
Night vision seems good.
And it was £30 off in Argos.
Feel a bit bad that I’m recording passers by without them realising. Hope that legally this is allowed? It also detects sound with the motion so I can hear what people are saying when they are stood outside my front door.
