Bitten by dog

Went to let friend's dog out for a wee and she bit me. One puncture wound (crescent shaped cut actually) on top of finger. Bloody hurts. Rinsed and cleaned. Gp says need tetanus, but they can't do it. So need to go to minor injuries. I can't drive and it's 8 miles away.
Dh will be back at 6. Is it ok to wait that long? Please say yes!!

I just googled it, it says 48 hrs from injury to booster shot. So assuming that at some point in your prior life you have had a tetanus shot, I would suggest you get there as soon as you can, but you dont need to move heaven and earth!

No tetanus needed. Iodine dressing for 4 days and a week's worth of antibiotics as it's a deep puncture wound. Bloody hurts at the moment!

I hope this dog will be put to sleep it sounds dangerous.wishing you a speedy recovery x
