Bottles and sterilising

Morning all,
New poster here so wasn't too sure where to post, I'm a little confused on when to stop sterilising baby bottles is it at the age of 1? Or when they stop formula? Dd has a dairy intolerance and is likely to be on formula till she is 18months.

My HV said when you stop formula.

Thank you, I did think it must be when you stop the formula x

It's supposed to be when you stop giving bottles because apparently the bottles and milk combo is a haven for bacteria. The bottles having all the nooks and crannies where bacteria can hide and washing is just not quite good enough to get rid of it.
That said, I stopped sterilising them around 1 for my two that were on formula. They were fine but official advice and all that...
Managed to make a sneaky switch to a beaker for milk around 2 and a half!
