I won't add "in the morning"! What's your favourite way to cook eggs and do you have a favourite type of egg?

Unfertilised.

CAAKE · 04/10/2018 02:33

Scrambled with double cream stores through 😍

Galvantula · 04/10/2018 02:35

Poached, on buttered toast. With a tiny bit of salt. I'm not sure why because I don't really put salt on anything else. Grin

Pastel de nata

Eminybob · 04/10/2018 07:39

Poached, or slowly scrambled with butter and creme fraiche.

I have gestational diabetes so am eating a lot of eggs at the moment and not bored of them yet!

serbska · 04/10/2018 07:42

Depends what I’m having them with.

Love all eggs really!

HRTpatch · 04/10/2018 07:45

I have poached eggs almost every day for breakfast. With spinach, tomatoes, avocado, mushrooms...whatever is in the fridge.
They have got to be runny .

Ragaroo · 04/10/2018 07:53

Any way as long as the yolk is runny and there are no "snotty" white bits! And with lots of salt Grin

QueenOfMyWorld · 04/10/2018 08:04

Hard boiled in a soft white bread sandwich with lots of butter and salt

Barbayagar · 04/10/2018 09:30

How do you poach an egg in a frying pan? I need to learn this trick?
And what is a coddled egg?

Poached. Will often have 2 poached eggs on smashed avocado toast when home alone. Also love Eggs Benedict/Florentine but tend to save for more special occasions, or if have guests staying.

Eponymous · 04/10/2018 09:41

Two different ways

  1. separate them, then scramble the whites first then add the yolks. Butter only, no milk.
  2. melt knob of butter in a cup in the microwave Add two eggs and whisk. Add lumps of smoked cheese, salt and pepper. Cook in the microwave for one minute, stir, then another 30 seconds and decant into posh bowl. Caveat: my microwave cooker is very low power so you might have eggy deliciousness in less time.
EmmaStone · 04/10/2018 09:41

Oh I've poached them in the frying pan before too - just add water to the frying pan, make sure the heat isn't too high though.

abitoflight · 04/10/2018 09:43

I love eggs however cooked
But the white must not be wibbly 🤢

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 04/10/2018 09:46

Fries egg on a cooked breakfast or with homemade chips and beans.
Or soft boiled wirh toast with a very runny yolk.

Frosty66611 · 04/10/2018 09:49

I don’t like runny yolks so I usually have mine in an omelette or i’ll fry them with some salt, chilli flakes and crumbled feta on top

Barbayagar · 04/10/2018 09:52

I made a Greek egg dish the other day with chopped tomatoes, feta crumbled in and oregano, and eggs, all scrambled up. Delicious!

Rockbird · 04/10/2018 09:55

In a sponge cake

Crunchymum · 04/10/2018 10:04

I'm not an egg fan, can tolerate scrambled (I have to make them though) and I can also manage an omelette (with lots of cheese and ketchup!)

Otherwise I am not an egg person.

Crunchymum · 04/10/2018 10:05

Good answer @Rockbird

I agree 100%

ISendNoComplimentsToYourMother · 04/10/2018 10:09

Made poached eggs on toast this morning with asparagus.

Love boiled eggs on toast

Love eggs florentine

Love baked eggs - layer ramekin with smoked salmon, break in egg, add cream & dash of truffle oil & bake in Bain Marie for 12- 15minutes on 180. Heaven.

Fried eggs have to be with chips - hangover cure!

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 04/10/2018 10:29

I forgot chicken omelette from the chippy with a carton of curry!

Bettercallsaul1 · 04/10/2018 11:01

Good to meet other egg enthusiasts! Grin I always start the day with an egg in some form - usually soft-boiled with toast but sometimes scrambled with butter and a little milk. At weekends, I indulge myself with bacon and eggs or sausage and fried egg. Recently saw some very interesting enormous blue hen's eggs (not duck's) in the supermarket but haven't summoned the courage to try them yet! (blue eggs just seem wrong somehow...)

I no longer go to slimming world, but I do love a crustless quiche:
