I’m no way a theoretical physicist and am not even going to try and read any of Stephen Hawking as the man was a marvel and he goes completely beyond my poor small brain’s comprehension! But... can anyone explain in layman’s terms to me what is the theory about what happened before the Big Bang? What existed then? How on earth would anyone be able to prove this? And how do we know that there aren’t other galaxies out there with planets like ours in them?
I can’t get my head around if there was nothing before the Big Bang... and how the Universe came from this...
