October break

milkysmum · 03/10/2018 22:26

I've recently split up with my husband and want to take the kids away this half term to take all our minds of things. Children are age 9 and 7. I've never travelled alone but really want to get away. Budget is limited. Any recommendations mumsnetters to where might be cheap and cheerful October half term. I'm thinking probably canaries for a bit if sun? Somewhere not yo far from the airport as dd doesn't travel well in cars, buses etc.. Any advice welcome.

Unfortunately October half term to a sunny place isn't cheap.

Spain might be warm and will be much more reasonable if you are willing to take a chance.

Malta is reasonable

I've been about 10 years ago.
The beach is good, large market to explore, we took taxis and the bus.
There was a open air cinema on the beach showing movies in the evening, everyone was lovely and friendly.

Only down side was we got ill.

Booked an all inclusive in Agadir, Morroco. £1200 for the 3 of us half term week. I'm pretty happy with that 😊
