I’m not a fan in general but I think it was an attempt to take the piss out of herself a bit and show a lighter side.
Not sure it worked but I’m pretty sure that was the intention

Fair play to her. She's not above making fun of herself.

And let's face it nothing could be worse than last year's conference speech.

LittleDoritt · 03/10/2018 17:43

She is just excruciating.

MollyHuaCha · 03/10/2018 17:47

I liked it. Thought she was great.

And I'm not even a fan of Theresa May

Violetparis · 03/10/2018 17:56

I'm not a fan of her government and cringed, but fair play to her for having the balls to do it. I saw a comment on twitter that at least she has upstaged Boris, good on her for that.

MagentaRocks · 03/10/2018 18:01

I’m not a fan either but she is taking the piss out of herself and the people there seemed to enjoy it.

ProfessionallyUnoffended · 03/10/2018 18:08

Yes, she did show a fun side, slightly cringy, but it made me laugh although not sure that was the intention!

Would have been nice if she had asked ABBA for their OK. They have previously made a point of not allowing their music to be used for any political purpose. And given they're both against Brexit, it seems a little rude.

Clawdy · 03/10/2018 19:30

It was cringey. And dreadful.
