Having one of those weeks and need some cheering up

I was at the airport once in a country with a very high crime rate, having a nice chat with the security ladies at check in. We were laughing and joking, and when they asked me if I had packed my own case and had anything dangerous in there, I stupidly said: 'No. Well, apart from the bomb I packed'. We all laughed a bit, but their faces were like 
. I could've kicked myself. Not surprisingly, when I arrived home, my suitcase had been ripped apart, the zip cut open and contents in a total mess.
What is the most idiotic thing you have uttered? Usually at the most inopportune time.
