Apart from me looking like a female serial killer Grin

I'm worried the hair is in the face too much.

What do you think?

Would these be accepted as passport photos?

I don’t think so, your hair needs to be pulled back from your face.

MadisonAvenue · 02/10/2018 16:05

They may be a bit fussy about the hair.

I sent some in of my son when he was five, he had curly hair then and there was a shadow of a curl on the screen behind him (we went to a photographer who took them manually) and they were returned.

LIZS · 02/10/2018 16:06

Think they need to see your ears. Can you take on your phone and upload as it approves or not as you do it.

MillieCats · 02/10/2018 16:10

Yes I think your hair is too close to your eyes too. I just renewed mine and took a photo on my phone and did it online. It approves it when you upload.

SoupDragon · 02/10/2018 16:10

I also think they need to see your ears.

I take mine on my phone and print online via Paspic. I still look like a serial killer mind you.

BitOutOfPractice · 02/10/2018 16:12

I think there’s stick they’ll be rejected yes.

If you do your application online you can upload a pic you’ve taken yourself. It gives you an indication if it’s ok straight away.

You don’t look like a criminal by the way!

MsHomeSlice · 02/10/2018 16:14

Pretty sure my ears are not on show in mine and I always get through the electronic photos/passport machines before dh...they seem to take and age with him to recognise him!

I have short ish hair, long wafty fringe.

flamingofridays · 02/10/2018 16:16

my ears aren't on show on mine ive never had an issue! not sure though whether they would accept it because your hair Is on your face, although mine covers my ears its not really on my face iyswim.

OnceUponATimeInAmerica · 02/10/2018 16:17

You don’t need to see ears.

Veterinari · 02/10/2018 16:18

My passport photo looks very like that in terms of hair. It was fine. Ears aren’t essential!

HolyFuckNuggets · 02/10/2018 18:26

Mine also looks like yours and they weren't rejected.

SandunesAndRainclouds · 02/10/2018 18:27

I’ve always paid a bit extra for the check and send service at the post office, no worries that way.

DancingDot · 02/10/2018 18:31

Did the booth where you had them done not tell you if they would be accepted? My DS had some taken at a Photo Me booth today and he didn't need them for a passport so he was smiling and the booth made it very clear that they would not be accepted as passport photos. I reckon there is too much hair, but you never know. I wouldn't want to risk it though, such a faff to reapply!

dementedpixie · 02/10/2018 18:31

They dont need to see ears but may need to see the shape of your face. I would redo them with the hair at the sides further away from your face

passportmadness · 02/10/2018 23:47

I'm flying off to Ireland on the 23rd so need it ASAP BlushGrin won't risk it; so getting them redone tomorrow with my hair up!

Will report back with new pics (because why not, eh?)

Thanks all Thanks

Also, you can't see my ears when I'm facing straight on. They don't stick out at all and neither do my sons... DH however doesn't have a problem Grin
