Selling maternity clothes

LaPufalina · 02/10/2018 15:19

I have a lot of decent maternity clothes to get rid of, and I was the last one out of my friends to have babies so can't pass them to any of them!
Not sure eBay would be worth it; has anyone found Facebook (group or marketplace)/Schpock (spelling?)/gumtree worth it? Or would I be better at a local sale or taking them to a charity shop?
Thanks!

You won't get much. Bundles on ebay seem to sell well, but you are looking at £15 for 6 items or there abouts.

Depending on the items, you might do better on eBay than you think. I listed a lot of my stuff after DC2 and was pleasantly surprised. A fair few things (mainly tops) went for just the £1.99 min bid, but other items (jeans, skirts) went for significantly more so brought the average up. One denim skirt went for more than i’d paid for it brand new! I total I made about £140 profit. Make sure you price the postage realistically- I think I charged small parcel 2nd class for everything except for a couple of very small tops that went through as large letter

I agree Betty, I listed all mine (probably 70 items in total!) and made well over £150. Make sure you put in your listing that you’re selling all your maternity items and will combine postage, then people will look through everything you have. I started all my listings at 99p as well.

Agree, I made a fairly decent amount on my stuff on eBay. Didn’t pay for any holidays or anything but was definitely worth it. Even fairly well used pjs went for around £5 on their own.

I've sold quite a lot of maternity clothes on eBay and Isabella Oliver etc sells well

Oh thanks a lot! Good tips there. I have some Isabella Oliver and Jojo as well as the usual gap/H&M so hopefully it'll sell ok.
