Read a book back in feb 2017? that I think was just released.
The 2 main characters grew up together on an island? and became boyfriend/girlfriend.
She went away to university? and he was going to follow except he broke up with her instead and made her believe he had found somebody else.
She stayed away for years. Started an antique business and had relationships with other people.
She went back to the island eventually and discovered he had split up with her all those years ago because he had been blinded whilst fighting a fire.

I read it on my kindle but can't find it within the books that I downloaded around that time.

I can remember where and when I read it. I just can't remember what was called.

Please help!

Bumping this for the evening crowd as it's driving me mad not remembering.
Think I could be wrong about them growing up on an island. I think he may have gone and lived on the island when he went blind.

It sounds a bit like some aspects of The Smoke Jumper but I don’t think it’s that?

Whatever it is I want to read it!

Can you login to your Amazon account and look through all your orders? It will be there.

Thunderblunder · 02/10/2018 20:25

Jenala I've been through both my Kindle and my amazon account yet I can't find it. There's other books missing that I know I've read as well.
I can picture exactly where I sat and read it as my DD was a day patient in hospital and I read it when she was down in theatre so I'm not imaging reading it! Grin

A glimpse of the dream by L A Fiore? It's about two orphans who grow up together, she does go off to university and comes back and sees him with a woman and thinks he's married but it turns out he lost his vision saving some kids from a fire. Sounds very similar...

oopslateagain. You are an absolute star! Grin

That's the book. Thank you so much! Flowers

I looked this book up on the basis of this thread, and have been listening to it on the Kindle Audible thing. But the voice of Kane on this is giving me the creeps! The way he says Mine gives me the heebie jeebies!

I need an audio book that is funny and easy to listen to, while I knit, does anyone have any recommendations?

I love "The Cat Who..." series by Lilian Jackson Braun. Whimsical books about a reporter who solves crimes, set in the US, and I like the gentle voice and american twang of the narrator on the audiobook versions.

Thanks Oops, will look that up.
