4 months - tips needed

Looking for some tips - if anyone has any?

My four month old is rolling from front to back which is great (apart from her being a madam) but she's doing it more and more in her sleep and in her next to me. I'm worried she will do this whilst I'm asleep and I won't be able to roll her back over. She's also not turning her head to one side. I've tried using a sleeping bag but she's mastered doing it in that too now!

The other thing she has started doing is crying or unsettling when her dummy falls out. Until now she has used a dummy to help calm her after a feed but she's never necessary relied on it. Did anyone else suddenly experience this? And understand why she's suddenly needing it more? Perhaps teething so comfort etc?

I know she's likely to be going through funny stages anyway with sleep @ 4 months X

Do you mean she's rolling 'back to front' instead of 'front to back'? My DS does this and I called the Lullaby Trust and they suggested that I tucked the bottom of his sleeping bag under the mattress. He can still wriggle around but he doesn't have the slack to fully turn over. It's just like tucking them in tightly with a blanket I suppose.

Yes! Sorry I meant back to front. That's a great idea. I may have to try that. Last night it was non stop again. It really worries me!

Hope it works!! These babies seem determined to ignore the best practice SIDS guidelines! Grin
