Trapped nerve in hip

Cobblersandhogwash · 01/10/2018 17:56

So painful and debilitating. I am wrung out with the pain and just want to sleep.

I've tried pain killers. Alternating heat and ice. Various stretches. Acupuncture. Massage. Pilates. GP prescribed gabapentin but that just made me sleep ALL the time.

Am I missing something? I just want to be able to sit/stand/walk without being in such pain. 😔

Seen an osteopath several times.

God you poor thing, is it a sciatic pain?

Can you try having a massage on your neck/shoulders? My friend had a similar problem and the massage therapist found the problem originated from her neck.

GPs are the worst in this situation. They’ll just give you painkillers but not get to the root of the problem. Can you see a physio? What did the osteopath say was causing the trapped nerve? Whereabouts in your hip
Is it?

Definitely see a chiropractor!

I promise I don't want to alarm you but my best friend has just had hip pain diagnosed as a tumour. Get it checked is all x

Osteopaths and chiropractors are different.

Cobblersandhogwash · 01/10/2018 22:58

Right. I'll visit a chiropractor then.

Dh has just come home with this back brace for me. It's giving me some relief thank goodness.

Have had a thorough back massage today too.

It's sciatica but with back pain too. Hideous. Exhausting.

Thank you so much for your help.
