Mirena and periods

carrie74 · 01/10/2018 11:24

Just a quick question. I'm about 3 years into my second Mirena cool. I've always had very light, pretty frequent periods on it (say every 23-25 days), but since the beginning of the summer, I seem to keep skipping periods - one cycle was over 70 days, and I'm currently on CD36.

Nothing else has changed, not lost weight or been stressed. Did have a holiday in August, but that's it.

Anyone else had this? I'm 43, so presumably could also be peri-menopause? No other signs though.

It stopped my periods for years

Thanks demented. Was that pretty much from the beginning? This is my second Mirena, so I've been using them for 8 or 9 years, and although I may have missed the odd period here and there, to suddenly have these very long cycles is unusual.
