Counting Blessings

I thought it might be nice to have a thread where we list the things that make us feel happy (not in a #blessed smug way 😄) It really helps me if I'm feeling a bit rubbish to remember the things I am thankful for. I'll go first:

I'm thankful for my home, for my children and DH. I'm thankful for my health which is relatively stable and pain free at the moment. I'm thankful to be able to feed my family and to have some lovely friends. I'm thankful for the Autumn bringing cooler weather (I really hate the heat). I'm grateful that I managed to have my baby girl safely after a difficult pregnancy and risky birth.

Oh quarterpast, that's a great thread. I'm very grateful for all of the above too even the cooler weather. That's really cheered me up.Smile

My health is not remotely good by any normal frame of reference, but I am stable on treatment and so count my blessings that it exists and that it has been prescribed for me

Anyone else? 🙂

Lots! I try and write down one or two per day, and it gets much easier after a while to think this way (most days...). Today: the sunset was beautiful this evening, I was able to fit in a run with a friend around work, DD had a good day at school, and for once in my life I had the time/energy/memory to cook extra pasta and chop veggies so that's the next two days of packed lunches pre-made and an extra ten minutes in bed in the morning

I am thankful that my washing machine was easily fixed by turning it off and on again. I am thankful for the lovely vegetables in my garden. I am thankful that we have enough money to replace our knackered old car.
