Eek! What are these bites on ds?

I’m probably being very silly but I just wanted to check if these are ok, and what are they from?

Ds (8yrs) has 15 insect bites (I assume? Please not spider shudder) all over one thigh and a couple on his back which I first spotted yesterday but I think he got on Friday in the park.
Yesterday they were just small red bumps, the usual normal types of bite marks, like a mosquito bite or something. They itched a lot and ds went to sleep with an ice pack on his thigh poor thing.

I rather thought they’d have gone down today, and they did look less red in the morning when DS woke up.

But this afternoon, just in the last few hours (ish), they’ve getting bigger rather than smaller & have white patches in the middle of them now, so wanted to check, what’s going on with them?

(I admit I am trying not to freak out at the horror show idea of spider eggs being planted inside. Trying to give self a stern talking to as I’m being stupid I know... right?)

Look like mozzie bites to me

Really? He’s never had such big ones before! And it’s so late in the year.

Would mosquito bites develop this slowly? So only becoming this big with white bits in the middle two days after the original bite?

By the way, I think he got bitten on Friday as he was climbing trees in the square near us, and generally rolling around and being close to nature.
