My baby is unusually inconsolable, is this worth a 111 call?

My eight month old is absolutely hysterical. It's incredibly unusual for her. I've assumed teething and given Calpol/neurofen/Anbesol but no improvement. Is it ridiculous to call 111?

No not ridiculous to call 111 if you are worried. Be prepared to take her in to hospital, it's often their advice

No. If you feel something is wrong then call them.

Did you take her to A & E?

Does she have a temperature?

How was she during the day and just before bed?

Did she eat anything different today?

Did anything new happen today (new bedding, absent parent, new visitor)?

Momotheathlete · 30/09/2018 04:12

She's finally asleep on me, so no. I'm guessing this is teething. Urgh.

Poor little bear 😔
Cuddles, anbesol abd pain killers ... so you've done the right thing. Try those teething rings or Sophie giraffe

The thing my DD cried most about was nappy rash - I didn't even realise, so arm yourself with plenty of metanium cream as teething can give them poos which cause nappy rash
