30th Birthday - WWYD?

It's my 30th birthday soon and DH has booked the day off work so we can spend all day together. It's a Friday and we'll have a 13 week old baby (we can get a babysitter for the evening, unsure if I want to as I don't particularly love getting drunk and dancing all night).

What would you do for your 30th birthday that would make it celebratory and a bit special without going OTT? What would be your perfect day? Apparently I'm unimaginative and have zero idea what I want as I had my heart set on going away for years but when we conceived last Christmas we decided to postpone the trip until our baby is a bit older (we were planning Iceland).

What about finding a posh hotel , can book a posh afternoon tea makes it assessable for all ages x

When my babies were that tiny, the BEST present would have been fr dh to get up with them and leave me to sleep as long as my body wanted to Grin

@BackforGood DH is brilliant and I get that luxury every Saturday morning as he's home at the weekends. I'd certainly take a lie in as a start to the day though!

@Sundayblues13 We have a very posh 5* hotel locally that do incredible food so that may very well be an option depending on the budget. Could go for a lovely lunch!

For my 30th we hired a posh car and drove it to York. We did a river cruise thing and climbed up the Minster tower. Might not risk the car thing with a baby that might throw up all over the upholstery Grin but you could take a trip to somewhere not far away but where you wouldn't normally go, have a fancy meal, do some shopping (or window shopping if you're as skint as we are!) and just explore the city.

I'd do a spa day

I would get my hair done the day before with a good blow dry and then on the day go into town and get my nails done (partner can push baby around town during this).

Choose a nice present from partner & baby for my birthday (with partner & baby) then go for lunch somewhere I’ve had my eye on trying (not necessarily 5* expensive just somewhere I’d like to go).
Have a glass of champagne with it (not prosecco) or maybe a cocktail then have a little wander then home with some naice picky food to have as a light dinner later on with my choice of film.

I did go away to Italy for my 30th abd it was amazing but that was pre-baby, post baby birthday are usually something along those lines and I love them
