The theme tune was sang by a group like wet wet wet or erasure!

It was amitated!

It was CITV

I’m thinking late 80’s early 90’s

Anyone know?

Ulysses 31?

ScreamingValenta · 30/09/2018 00:42

Ulysses 31 was brilliant!

Ulysses, Ulysses,
fighting evil and tyranny,
with all his power,
and with all of his might.

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 30/09/2018 00:47

It's me Nono, small robot, you know, friend of Ulysses!
Uly-eeessseess!

Don’t think it’s what OPs after though

ScreamingValenta · 30/09/2018 00:51

Ulysee-ee-ee-ees, no one else can do the things you do!

tectonicplates · 30/09/2018 00:52

Tell us more about the theme tune. Was it disco-like, or more like rock music?

ScreamingValenta · 30/09/2018 00:52

Sorry, OP, getting carried away by nostalgia Grin. Can you give any more clues - was it just the theme that was animated, or the whole show?

donquixotedelamancha · 30/09/2018 01:05

It was amitated! Ouch, sounds painful.

Don’t think it’s what OPs after though

The answer to these threads is always Ulysses, who cares what the OP wants.

BabCNesbitt · 30/09/2018 01:26

We need more details, OP. Was it British-made? What was it about? (And Ulysses 31 was on CBBC!)

ScreamingValenta · 30/09/2018 01:31

Aaaahhhh.

PrueDent · 30/09/2018 08:12

What was the one about cities of gold?

Children of the sun

See your time has just begun
Searching for your ways
Through adventures every day
Every day and night
With the condor in flight
With all your friends in tow
Searching for the cities of gold #

What was the cartoon about, OP? There were a lot of animated, imported children's programmes back then

PrueDent · 30/09/2018 08:16

Was the cartoon British like count Ducular or Raggy Dolls?

Or American like the jetsons?

Or from somewhere else?

What was it about? Daria was about teenage angst, rugrats was about a group of pre-schoolers, kissyfur was about a raccoon in the forest.... can you narrow it down a bit?

wowfudge · 30/09/2018 08:16

Ulysses and Cities of Gold were both on BBC1. I remember Gordon the Gopher singing the theme songs in the broom cupboard.

colditz · 30/09/2018 08:17

Jace and the wheeled warriors?

“There’s a feeling that comes from deep inside of you
And every day we’re moving towards the light
And you know there’s a Long long way ahead of you
But when your wheels take you there
Things will turn out right!”

Clawdy · 30/09/2018 08:20

Was it the one where there was a rock band of animals with a lion playing guitar? Can't remember it's name?

LivingDeadGirlUK · 30/09/2018 08:23

Denver, the last dinosaur!

wowfudge · 30/09/2018 08:28

@Clawdy - Animal Kwackers. Lunchtimes on ITV.

Alltheprettyseahorses · 30/09/2018 08:48

James Bond Jr?

Zoosie · 30/09/2018 09:33

It was about adventures of sone sort, maybe magic.

It had a really nice theme tune and I’ve tried for ages to remember.

Remember dungeons and dragons? I think it was a similar type of thing

wouldHAVEshouldHAVEcouldHAVE · 30/09/2018 09:36

Defenders Of The Earth?

shamofamockery · 30/09/2018 09:43

Could it be the Dreamstone? Wasn't sung by anyone famous I think though. m.youtube.com/watch?v=pZL23Xq1AgY

tectonicplates · 30/09/2018 09:47

OP can you tell us more about the theme tune itself? Was it gentle or energetic? Did it sound calm and pretty, or like it was sung by an 80s metal band?

I was kinda hoping it was Pokemon as the tune is AMAZING! m.youtube.com/watch?v=6xKWiCMKKJg

tectonicplates · 30/09/2018 09:53

Cities of Gold was amazing too! m.youtube.com/watch?v=9ki99YBVKyw

PrueDent · 30/09/2018 09:54

Did the cartoon feature people or animals?

Clawdy · 30/09/2018 10:03

wowfudge that's it! "Bungo, Roary, Twang and Boot....!"
