Food stuck at the back of my tongue.. driving me insane!

So, like the classy lady I am I was munching on some leftover cold stuffing a couple of hours ago. Now a tiny bit of it seems to be stuck at the back of my tongue.

I've tried eating a bit of bread to help catch it up and get it out. I've tried brushing my tongue, gargling, drinking coke, drinking wine... it's still there!!

I can't see it, but I can feel it. How can I get the bugger out?

Try eating some crisps? Might give better scraping action than bread?

I shall give it a go!

If it’s scratched the mucosa, it might feel like it’s still there when it’s not. You may just be feeling the little irritated patch.
Try a hot drink to soften it if it is still there - it should help to break up the lump and let it go down.

Are you sure it's stuffing? My tongue feels like that when my taste buds swell up (usually when I'm coming down with something)

@whatthefoxsaid I felt it straight after eating the stuffing so I assume so.
I'm kind of hoping it just goes over night!

If you have chamomile tea, make yourself a mug. Let it cool to a comfortable temperature and it should soothe the affected area. It's a great, natural anti inflammatory.

I'm not an herbal tea drinker I'm afraid. It's still there. It's bothering me a bit less but then I am on my second glass of wine 😁

Was going to suggest coke, but see you’ve already tried!

More wine. It’s the only way Wine

I get this totally randomly and I've always thought it was food stuck. After a particularly bad one that was driving me nuts for days I saw a nurse practitioner who told me to take an antihistamine. Stops it pretty much straight away!
