The more toddler-friendly the better!

I’ll go first.

Veg Risotto.

Take handful of frozen mixed veg (peas, sweetcorn, carrot, pepper and broccoli) and fry in the pot till it’s softer.

Chuck in a chicken stock pot. Boiling water to cover the veg and add some rice.

Keep adding water as the rice sucks it up and keep stirring till cooked.

It’s a favourite of my three year old. She’ll eat it on its own or with salmon or chicken.

Easiest for us is packet of smoked mackerel (we like peri-peri), packet of microwave Tilda or Uncle Ben's spicy rice and a pre-prepared salad. You can use normal smoked mackerel and a non spicy rice for a younger child. Ready in less than five minutes and relatively healthy.

Jacket potatoes, with choice of beans/cheese/tuna/colelsaw/coronation chicken and prepacked salad is good too. Stir fry and either egg fried rice (usually with prawns or chicken through it) or rice noodles takes 10 mins. I often use microwave rice or straight to wok noodles if I'm pushed for time.
Gammon steaks (fried for 5 mins then put in a casserole dish, cover with a little pineapple juice and tin foil) with frozen cauliflower cheese and roast potatoes, all bunged in the oven takes 45 mins but really easy and can easily do something else in the meantime.

I also make full use of the slow cooker and often have a batch cook day where I make a huge chicken curry or tandoori chicken (in the oven), a chilli/bolognese or keema and a stew, cottage pie or macaroni cheese/pasta bake and then freeze lots of portions of things so i'm not reliant on ready meals.
