What happens when you call the number the messages are sent from?

sirmione16 · 29/09/2018 11:46

Get the phone the messages were sent to, and look at the number that sent them? Surely it's obvious if it's your dds number or not

PouchofDouglas · 29/09/2018 11:47

Another thread?

martian1990 · 29/09/2018 11:49

Are the messages sent from an email or phone number?

SparklyMagpie · 29/09/2018 11:50

What has happened since your last thread?

StoorieHoose · 29/09/2018 11:52

Your original thread is still active

Bimgy85 · 29/09/2018 12:10

Link to original please?:)

Emma765 · 29/09/2018 12:12

On your previous thread, posted showed how they'd used an app to look like an imessage conversation from a fake name.

Surely, instead of typing in a name, they've typed in the number?

Emma765 · 29/09/2018 12:13

You also said that school have said that the messages are nowhere near as awful as the girl has made out, are you sure your daughter didn't send the not as awful messages?

ChimpParadox · 29/09/2018 12:40

Sorry. My original text was about faked ‘text’ messages and on that thread a lot of people gave examples about how to prove etc but that those methods wouldn’t work with iMessages. Hence me asking specifically about iMessages. I was hoping someone tech savvy could help without having to read 3 pages of my previous thread. I thought the background was irrelevant.

She either did or she didn't?? They are either from her number or not. Simple

More like you're asking how to make it look like she didn't text her

Heideli · 29/09/2018 12:48

Your wanting to prove because her friends aren’t friends with her anymore about this? Surely best thing to do is just to get her to talk to them, “if I sent that wouldn’t she have the original message and not just screenshots” either they believe her or they don’t in which case it’s better for her to move on then have friends who won’t believe her.
Calling the police and getting the schools IT dept involved is beyond overkill.

SerenDippyEggs · 29/09/2018 12:50

On iMessage you can text yourself as iPhones and delete the ones you don't want. See example below. They could have done this?
So they have to have the texts on their phone and see where they've come from, the same as texts. If you can't do this then it's going to be very difficult to prove!
