Change in position of cervix after bahy

I'm not sure where to post this.. This is a weird but genuine question

Before having a baby my cervix was really high up. Tmi but I could touch it with my middle finger if I tried really hard. Now (baby is one) and it's way lower.... Is this normal? Or should I have done more Kegels? Should I do them now? Will it go back higher again? Does it even matter?

Hmmmm. Could be a symptom of prolapse, maybe?

RedFin · 28/09/2018 21:56

I know things will be different post-baby but I'm not sure how different

My physio told me that all women have some degree of prolapse after a vaginal birth. As in, things change. It's the severity and the symptoms and how much it bothers you that matters. Does it bother you? And yes, you should really do kegels every day for the rest of your life as things will only get worse otherwise!

How old is your baby?
Mine moved down after but slowly went back and was in the old place by about 4 mos.
There is a degree of laxity but my physio says this will likely go when I stop bf.

3in4it doesn't bother me at all. Not painful or awkward, I'm just surprised it's still so low. I'll restart keep up the Kegels

Johnny baby is a year old Confused so we're past 4 months!! I'm still bf though, that's interesting that bf would have an impact. Good to know!
