Escaping London, to where?

Suggestions, please - we need to get away from London but DP needs to commute in and doesn't want to be more than an hour's train from Waterloo.

I want somewhere as far away as possible that's green and lovely with good primary schools and community (yes, same as everyone else out there...) and drawing a blank - or rather not sure where to start! Anyone else done the same, or live somewhere really nice they'd recommend?

All these locations are less than 1hour
Worplesdon
Guildford
Farncombe
Woking
Winchfield

Reigate. He'll have to change trains at Clapham Junction, but the entire Reigate > Waterloo journey takes approx 1 hour (either 58 minutes or 1 hour & 2 minutes, according to UK train times!)

Kent trains go into Waterloo East so a 5 min covered walk to Waterloo.
