Why can I not remember getting up last night?

According to DH and DD, DD wet the bed last night, I got up sorted DD out whilst DH sorted the bed, tucked her back in, went to the toilet and back to sleep. I don't remember this at all. Apparently I was a sleepwalker as a child but obviously don't remember that! Was this sleepwalking? Surely I must've been awake to be able to find clean pj's and help DD change and back to bed? Anyone else experienced anything like this? DH thinks it's hilarious but I'm actually a bit freaked out and wondering what else I could end up doing and having no recollection of!

You were probably very tired and working on autopilot, very quickly and so never really got out of "sleep" so forgot. Possibly

Sometimes I have been up with the children in the night, settling after nightmares, taking to toilet etc. On several occasions I've commented the morning after about not waking in the night to be told I had been up with dc in the night. Sometimes I've just been so dog-tired that I've barely woken, gone straight back to sleep and forgotten all about it.

It's just a really weird feeling! Makes sense that I just wasn't awake enough to remember but a bit worrying all the same. Perhaps this is why I'm not losing weight, perhaps I'm eating in the night and not remembering that either definitely nothing to do with the amount of chocolate and wine I consume whilst awake Grin
