I know nobody here can really comment unless I post a photo. Unfortunately I can't do that as I dropped my phone a while ago and now the camera no longer works.
But, I've been trying to lose weight for almost 2 years. I'm 154cm and started off at 9st 13lbs. Despite losing weight, I've always still felt overweight because of my belly. I dropped to 8st 2lbs at one point following an illness and actually felt like I looked a normal size then but I was only eating a couple of hundred calories per day as it was all I could manage.
I've put on weight again since I've been able to eat properly and seem to be hovering around 8st 9lbs which according to the NHS website puts my BMI at 23.1.
I haven't eaten much today as I've felt unwell. I've had half a small punnet of strawberries and that's it. My belly actually looks okay today. Thinking back, even when I had a BMI of 21-22, I still felt overweight. I have IBS-C (Irritable Bowel Syndrome with a tendency towards Constipation) so I'm wondering if it's that causing me to look overweight because of the bloating? It seems if I eat any more than about 500 calories per day, I look bloated and overweight. I've never been pregnant but some days I feel like I look about 5 months pregnant!
I'm worried that I could spend all this time getting my BMI as low as is healthy, and still look overweight because of the bloating.
